Every FlowSentry dashboard works the same way. Once you know how to set the period, read the comparison, drill through and export, you can use any of them. This article also covers building your own dashboard and where to go for deeper analysis.

Before you start

  • Open Dashboards in the Insight module, or go to /dashboards. The gallery shows only the dashboards your role can open.
  • Most roles can open the Executive overview, Transaction monitoring, Screening and My dashboard. Operations & SLA also needs case access, Customer risk needs customer access, and AI usage is for the MLRO, Deputy MLRO, Administrator and Auditor.
  • Some figures, such as STRs filed and rule precision, appear only for STR-privileged roles.

Set the period

  1. At the top of the dashboard, choose 7D, 30D, 90D, QTD, YTD or Custom.
  2. For Custom, choose a start and end date. The range can be up to two years.

The period is part of the page address, so copying the link and sending it to a colleague opens the same view for them (subject to their own permissions).

Read the comparison

Compare to previous period is on by default. Each figure then shows the change against the previous period of the same length:

  • green means the change is good, red means it is bad (a rise in SLA breaches is red; a rise in SLA compliance is green)
  • on trend charts the previous period is drawn as a dashed line.

Switch Compare to previous period off if you want a cleaner chart.

Drill through to the detail

Click a figure, bar, legend entry or table row to open the work behind it. For example:

  • a severity in the severity mix opens the alert queue filtered to that severity
  • a rule opens that rule; a typology opens the rules for that typology
  • a risk band opens the customer register filtered to that band.

Use All dashboards to return to the gallery.

Note: Drill-through respects your permissions. An Executive, for example, sees aggregate figures but cannot open case-level content.

Keep figures fresh

Dashboards refresh automatically every five minutes, or you can press refresh. The time of the last update appears as "Updated hh:mm".

Dashboards are built from analytics summaries that background jobs refresh about every 15 minutes, not from live transaction tables. A transaction loaded a few minutes ago may not be counted yet. After a new institution goes live, figures fill within about 15 minutes.

Export

  • Export CSV downloads every figure and widget on the dashboard.
  • The download icon on a single widget downloads only that widget.

Every export is recorded under your name. Handle the file as your institution's data policy requires.

Build your own dashboard

  1. Open My dashboard at /dashboards/my.
  2. Select Customise.
  3. Select Add a widget and pick from the catalogue.
  4. Move widgets up or down, or remove the ones you do not need.
  5. Select Save dashboard.

Select Reset to default to start again.

Go deeper in the analytics workspace

For questions a dashboard cannot answer, use the Analytics section of the Insight module:

  • Analytics workspace (/analytics) compares the period with the previous one per typology, ranks typologies and severities, and shows the Typology radar: typologies whose alerts rose sharply last month, each with a suggested draft rule. A suggested draft still goes through the normal rule approval; the radar never switches anything on.
  • Pivot analytics (/analytics/pivot) lets you choose rows, columns and a measure, click a cell for the daily rows, save and load views, and Export XLSX.
  • Metric designer (/analytics/metrics) lets you define a metric with amber and red thresholds and pin it to the executive overview. Changes are recorded in the audit trail.

Tip: If you look at the same breakdown every week, save it as a pivot view or pin a metric rather than rebuilding it each time.
