Every FlowSentry screen shares the same frame: an icon rail on the left, an app bar across the top and the page in the middle. Once you know these few controls you can reach anything in two or three keystrokes.

The icon rail and flyouts

The narrow rail on the left has one icon per module, in this order: Home, Work, Monitoring, Customers, Screening, Reporting, Insight, and — if your role has them — Data and Admin.

  • Home goes straight to your dashboard.
  • Any other icon opens a flyout: the module's pages, each with a one-line description of what it is for. Some flyouts group pages under sub-headings, such as Activity under Monitoring or Onboarding under Customers.
  • Pin the flyout to keep it open as a classic sidebar. FlowSentry remembers your choice in this browser.
  • The Help menu in the rail links to help material.

You only see the modules and pages your role can open. The same check runs on the server when you act, so the navigation is never the only control.

Module Typical pages
Work Alerts & cases, My approvals, MLRO decisions, QA review, Information requests
Monitoring Rule library, Create rule, Backtest, Rule performance, Rule versions, Live transactions, File analysis, Link analysis
Customers Customers, Accounts, KYC changes, Customer risk, Risk models, EDD workbench, EWRA, and the onboarding pages
Screening Hits, Name search, Batch screening, Exclusions, PEP register, Watchlists, Designations, Four-eyes policy
Reporting Reporting, Reporting KPIs, Regulator reviews, Audit trail
Insight Dashboards and each dashboard, Analytics workspace, Pivot analytics, Metric designer
Data Data sources, Mapping studio, Load data, Ingestion runs
Admin Tenant settings, Administration, FX rates, Platform health

The command palette

Press Ctrl+K (Windows and Linux) or ⌘K (Mac) from anywhere — or / when you are not typing in a field — to open Search or jump to.

Type:

  • part of a page name: "kyc", "rules", "backtest";
  • an action: "create rule";
  • a customer name, an account number, a case number or a rule id.

Use the arrow keys to choose and Enter to go. If nothing matches, pressing Enter with your text opens full search (/search), which finds customers, accounts and cases by name, national ID, KRA PIN, phone number, account number or case number. Results respect your permissions: STR-restricted cases never appear for roles that cannot see them.

Ask Sentry

Press Ctrl+J (or ⌘J) or select the sparkle button in the app bar to open Ask Sentry, the AI copilot. Ask about the page you are on ("summarise this case", "why is this customer high risk?") or about records you can see. Answers link to the records they used and are labelled advisory. Ask Sentry is read-only: if you ask it to approve or close something, it tells you where to do that yourself. See Use AI assistants responsibly.

The app bar

  • Breadcrumbs show where you are (module › page, or module › page › item). Select a crumb to go back up.
  • Notifications (the bell) lists four-eyes items waiting for you under Waiting for you — real approvals you are allowed to make — with a link to Open the approvals inbox (/approvals/inbox).
  • Your name opens the user menu.

The user menu

Theme Light, Dark or System (follows your operating system). Remembered in this browser

Both themes are designed for long sessions; dark is not simply inverted, and risk colours keep their meaning in both.

Pages, tabs and messages

Most pages follow the same layout: a header with the page title, a one-line description and the main action on the right; a strip of key figures (often clickable as filters); then tabs, filters and the list or detail.

  • Detail pages — a case, a customer, a rule, a screening hit — start with a summary header (name, identifier, key facts and badges for risk, KYC, PEP and sanctions) followed by tabs.
  • Success messages appear briefly in a corner. Problems that stop an action stay next to the form or button concerned and say what to do next.
  • Read-only views: if your role can see but not act, the page says so, for example "Read-only view: your role can review alerts and cases but not act on them."

Keyboard tips

  • Esc closes the palette, flyouts, drawers and dialogs.
  • Tab moves through every control; the focus ring shows where you are. A Skip to main content link appears on the first Tab.
  • Motion is reduced automatically if your operating system asks for it.
